Maggie Broeren, Shuwateen (~1844 – 1953) 
	
Shuwateen was one of Old Man Chief Mundassa of Hutshi and Klon-day’s five children. Mundassa settled at Lake Laberge in the 1700s.((Yukon Archives, Pam 1953-0058)) Her brother was Jim Boss.((Roxanne Livingstone, "Shirley Adamson won't be pushed around". //The Yukon News// (Whitehorse), 20 December 2002.)) Shuwateen married Dawson Jim from Moosehide and they had daughter Elsie.((Yukon Archives, Pam 1953-0058))  
	
Dawson Jim died while he was hunting in the mountains. The family then wanted her to marry an older man, but she resisted which was unusual, and went down to Dawson. There she met a European named Dutch Henry and married him to become Maggie Broeren.((Roxanne Livingstone, "Shirley Adamson won't be pushed around". //The Yukon News// (Whitehorse), 20 December 2002.)) 

Maggie and Dutch Henry Broeren had seven children: Celia (1897-2000), Alice, John (1899-1981), Agnes “Aggie” (b. 1903), George (1908 – 1930), Willie (1910-1988, and Charlie (1912-1988).((“John Broeren.” 2021 website: https://ancestors.familysearch.org/en/LR5L-BCY/john-broeren-1899-1981.)) Celia was born with pale skin and green eyes.
