Mrs. R.A. Edgerton
	
Mrs. R.S. Edgerton was a professional nurse from England. She ran one of the eight private hospitals that existed in Dawson during the Klondike gold rush. She gained her experience while working for the Red Cross. Mrs. Edgerton became the matron of Dawson’s Good Samaritan Hospital.((Frances Backhouse, //Women of the Klondike, 15th Anniversary Edition.// Whitecap, 2010: 129.)) Dr. Andrew Grant built the Good Samaritan Hospital soon after he arrived in Dawson in 1898.((“Adios to Dr. Grant.” //Dawson Daily News,// (Dawson), 16 September 1905.))
