John Timothy Frame (1930 – 2017)
	
John Frame was born in Toronto. He received an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto and a Master of Divinity at Trinity College in Toronto.((Andre Forget, “Bishop John Timothy Frame: 1930-2017,” Anglican Journal, 17 August 2017.  2018 website: https://www.anglicanjournal.com/bishop-john-timothy-frame-1930-2017/)) His first post was in 1957 at Burns Lake, British Columbia a parish that covered 12,000 square miles. In 1968, Frame succeeded Bishop Henry H. Marsh as Bishop of the Yukon, a diocese covering 200,000 square miles. At the time Frame was believed to be the youngest Anglican bishop in Canada. Bishop Frame was conservative and opposed the ordination of women to the priesthood. Archbishop Caleb Lawrence described him as a controversial but important figure in the Anglican Church.
