William Hume
	
William Hume was of Scot descent.((Charlene Hume, "David William Hume Sr. Da Ke Ch'ada ghu" in //From First We Met to Internet: Stories from Haines Junction's first Sixty-Five Years as a Settlement.// Yukon College, 2007: 61-62.)) He was the officer at the Dalton Trail customs at Champagne in 1906.((Kathy Van Bibber, "A Glimpse of the beginning: Champagne Business and Social Buildings." Champagne and Aishihik First Nations and YTG Heritage Branch. 1993.)) Hume and Lily Kuskataheen, of Southern Tutchone descent, married and stayed in the area to raise five children.
