Grafton Njootli (1947 – 1999)
	
Grafton Njootli was the MLA representing Old Crow for the Yukon Progressive Conservative Party from 1978 to 1982. He was the first Indigenous person elected to the Yukon legislature and was Minister of Health and Human Resources in Chris Pearson’s government.((“Grafton Njootli.” //Wikipedia,// 2019 website: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grafton_Njootli)) 

Njootli resigned from the chamber in 1979 while the RCMP investigated him for forgery and assault.
