George Amura George Amura owned the Makido Laundry on Second Avenue in Dawson and the family lived in quarters at the business.((Lowe’s Mortuary Records, Vol. 1: 131; //Dawson Daily News// (Dawson), 5, 5, June 1907.)) In April 1907, Mrs. Amura gave birth to the first Japanese boy born in Dawson.((//Dawson Daily News// (Dawson), 13 July 1907.))
