Harry F. Abraham Harry Abraham obtained the Ezra Meeker's Place property in Dawson in 1903. He operated a scavenger service [garbage collection] in the city and had his office and living quarters in the building. Abraham owned the Palace Grande from 1914 to 1957. He ceased his scavenger service in the late 1920s but retained mining interests on Last Chance Creek. He moved to Davenport, Iowa and returned to Dawson in the summers.
