Garnet Leon Brown (1894 – 1952) Garnet Brown was born in Tacoma, Washington to parents James and Rebecca Brown.((Library and Archives Canada, WWI, #2140244. Drafted 4 February 1918.)) They lived on Bonanza Creek in 1911.((Canadian Census, 1911.)) Garnet was mining in the Dawson area in 1918 when he was drafted to serve in the First World War.((Library and Archives Canada, WWI, #2140244. Drafted 4 February 1918.)) He returned to the Yukon after the war and was a watchman for B&B Ltd. in 1923-24.((//Polks Gazetteer,// 1923-24.)) He later returned to mining.
