James R. Brown (1848 – 1900) James Brown was working for the firm of Sinclair & Brown in Atlin in 1900. He and his wife came from Atlin three weeks before his death and he was bed-ridden with pneumonia. Brown was the first person to be buried in the Whitehorse cemetery.
