Martin Berkman (b. 1961) Martin Berkman was born in Montreal. Berkman won the National Film Board’s 2006 Yukon Northern Sights Short Film Competition where emerging film makers were invited to submit story ideas for films up to eight minutes. Berkman’s 2007 film, Adrenaline Bach, is a six-minute film written and directed by Berkman and produced by the National Film Board (NFB). The silent film features Tim Sellars, a triathlon athlete and musician, as he moves through the Yukon boreal forest. Berkman’s works have appeared locally, nationally, and internationally in print, theatres, galleries, festivals, and conferences. He has produced photographs for Canadian Geographic magazine, HD and full dome video production for Yukon and Yukon First Nations at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, and photography and film production for the National Film Board of Canada.
