Pam Buckway (b. 1949) Pam Buckway was born in Whitehorse and was a radio announcer for CBC North before entering politics. In 1999, she ran as a Liberal and won a by-election for the Lake Laberge seat in the Yukon Legislative Assembly. She was elected again in 2000 and served as Minister of Community and Transportation Services in Pat Duncan’s government.
