Richard Babb (b.1886) Richard Babb was born in Sydenham, Kent County, England. He was living in Dawson as a single man in 1911.((Canadian Census, 1911.)) Babb was a miner in November 1914 when he enlisted to serve in the First World War.((Library and Archives Canada, Attestation Paper, No. 2666 10 November 1014, Vancouver.)) He had an undivided half interest in the “Rose” mineral claim on the left limit of Gold Run Creek, with Samuel J. Thurber owning the other half. ((Yukon Archives, GOV 1654, f.29600-B.))
