Robert Mills “Bert” Blair (b. 1876) Bert Blair was from Chicoutimi, Quebec. He was the mining recorder at Forty Mile and Dawson in 1898.((Walter R. Hamilton, //The Yukon Story,// Vancouver: Mitchell Press Ltd., 1964: 219.)) Robert Mills Blair was living with his wife in Vancouver in 1915 when he enlisted for service in the First World War. He put down his occupation as lumber, timber, etc. The archival records show him with a rank of major.((Library and Archives Canada, RG 150, No. 47414, Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF).))
