Eugene Curley Eugene Curley grew up in Prince Edward Island and heard stories about the Yukon.((Sidney Cohen, “Prospector recognized for what he loves to do.” //Whitehorse Daily Star// (Whitehorse), 17 November 2016.)) He started working in the NWT mines in the 1970s before moving to Yukon in 1978. He started placer mining before starting prospecting for hard rock minerals around Dawson, Faro, and Ross River and even in Australia and South America. Five of his discoveries were sold to mining companies. He is an old-style prospector who found Dows Gold through dowsing.
