Harry Collier (b. 1873) Harry Collier came over the Chilkoot Pass in March 1899 and became a resident of Dawson. He staked claims between 1899 and 1907.((Yukon Archives, Yukon Genealogy database)) He was a miner near Dawson in April 1916 when he enlisted to serve in the First World War.((Library and Archives Canada, Attestation Paper, WWI Reg. #1015544. 10 April 1916 at Sidney.)) He was recruited by Captain George Black and was in England by August 1917.((//Dawson Daily News// (Dawson), 17 August 1917.)) Collier returned to the Yukon after the war and //Polks Gazeteer// lists him as a miner in 1923-24.
