Pauline Mary Chalifour, nee Booth (1945 - 2020) Pauline Chalifour was born in Melbourne, Australian. After graduating from nursing school, she set off to see the world and took a nursing job in Dawson in 1969. She met Larry Chalifour there. They were married in 1971 and had a son, Jason. Pauline and Larry were divorced in Whitehorse in 1987. Pauline was part of the maternity team at the Whitehorse General Hospital, helping to deliver scores of babies and mentoring many nurses. She met Ted Garland in 1989 and they married a couple of decades later. She became a Canadian citizen in 2003. In later years, Pauline became one of the quilting ladies.
