Wilfred W. “Curly” Desrosiers (1918 – 1973) Curly Desrosiers was born on a railway train 100 miles north of Winnipeg and his birth certificate noted Mile 100. He was an ebullient, gregarious individual, always smiling, who came to the Yukon in 1942 as part of the civilian construction crew on the Alaska Highway.
