Johnny “Jack” Dewhurst
	
Johnny Dewhurst and Tom Connolly took a canoe from Prince Albert and then walked into the Nahanni Valley where they stayed for quite a while. Then they walked down the Canol Road from the NWT.((Josephine Holloway, “Three Yukon First Nation Elders Share Their Knowledge.” //Canadian Woman Studies,// Volume 14, Number 4, 1994: 62.)) They came to the Yukon to trap in the early 1940s.((Yukon Historic Sites, Johnny Dewhurst Cabin file.)) Johnny lived in Teslin for a number of years before he met and married Grace who was born in Teslin in 1932. They were together for thirty-nine years before he died.
