Johnny “Jack” Dewhurst Johnny Dewhurst and Tom Connolly took a canoe from Prince Albert and then walked into the Nahanni Valley where they stayed for quite a while. Johnny lived in Teslin for a number of years before he met and married Grace who was born in Teslin in 1932. They were together for thirty-nine years before he died.
