A.G. Findlay Rev. A.G. Findlay arrived in Dawson in 1921 as the Presbyterian minister replacing J.Y. McGookin [sic]. The Methodist/Presbyterian church union happed in 1925, and in June 1926 Rev. Findlay moved to Whitehorse where he reopened a church closed for nine years.((“The Early Methodist Church in the Yukon.” Unpublished paper.)) St. Andrew’s United Church was located on Main Street, east of Second Avenue. The church closed, due to lack of funds, in 1928 when Rev. McIntosh was the minister.((D.E.
