Walter Gordon Forsberg (1923 - 1964) Walt Forsberg was born in Riceton, Saskatchewan. He became a pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was a member of the Dambuster Squadron during the Second World War. He was awarded a Distinguished Flying Cross. He and his family moved to Watson Lake in 1960. He was the pilot for Tungsten Mine and flew Beaver and SuperCab planes for three years until the Canada Tungsten road [Nahanni Range Road] was built. He worked for B.C. Yukon Airways, flying big game hunters and servicing mining camps until 1964.
