Daniel B. Gleeson (b. 1871) Dan Gleeson was born in Ireland.((Library and Archives Canada, Attestation Paper, WWI Reg. #1015561. July 1, 1916 in Sidney.)) He came into the country in 1897 and was a member of the Yukon Order of Pioneers in 1915. Gleeson was recruited as a sergeant by Captain George Black in Dawson and was in England by August 1917.((//Dawson Daily News// (Dawson), 17 August 1917.)) The Canadian Yukon Patriotic Fund loaned returned soldier G.
