John C. Green (1875 – 1918) John Green was captain of the sternwheeler //Yukon// in the fall of 1918. He had worked on steamers since 1890, following in the footsteps of his father, a well-known Seattle steamboat man. Harriet and John were on the sternwheeler //Yukon// on her last trip upriver in 1918.
