Anthony Holmes (d. 1888) Anthony Holmes was from Seattle. He was involved in the building of the sternwheeler //Youkon.// He died in January 1888 at Forty Mile.((Juneau City Mining Record, 16 August 1888.)) There were 140 men at Forty Mile in the winter of 1887. There were thirty-seven cases of scurvy and three deaths when D.
