Siebert Oscar “Bert” Hadvick (1927 - 2017)
	
Bert Hadvick and his wife Karen moved to Whitehorse in 1954 and started Oscar's Electric Ltd. Bert was a Scout Leader, co-founder of the Whitehorse skating club, co-founder of the Whitehorse Lutheran Church, a Mason for 55 years; a member of the Whitehorse Elks Lodge for 45 years, associate member of the Legi20-yearyear member of the Yukon Order of Pioneers, and a long-time Shriner. He received the Governor General's Diamond Jubilee Award in 2003 and the Golden Jubilee Medal in 2013. He was a founding member of the Yukon Electrical Contractors Assoc. and served as president in 1978. He was elected to the Whitehorse City Council in 1977.((//Yukon News,// 23 August 2017.))
