Fitzpatrick Joseph “Fitz” Horrigan (1861 – 1920) Fitz Horrigan was born in Picton, Ontario. In his youth he was active in the militia and rose to the rank of major. In 1899, he accepted an appointment as inspector in the RNWMP, a rank determined by his previous military experience. He was at Regina before being transferred to Dawson in 1901. He was transferred from the Yukon to Regina in 1912 or 1913, and then posted to Maple Creek, Saskatchewan as superintendent.((“F.J.
