Fred B. Johnston (1892 - 1965) Fred Johnson was born in Nagaunee, Michigan and went with his parents to Dawson in 1898. They moved to Stewart River where Fred's father was a miner and roadhouse proprietor. The family moved to Fairbanks in 1917.((Evangeline Atwood and Robert N.
