Edwin S. Keene (d. 1940)
	
Edwin Keene came to the Yukon 1897. He became a hero that winter when he hiked twenty miles back along the trail to get a stove which he packed on his back over an icy and snow-laden route. The stove was used to warm a shelter where a boy’s frozen leg was amputated.((//Whitehorse Star// (Whitehorse), 26 January 1940.))
