Joyce Majiski Joyce Majiski moved to the Yukon in 1984 after leading a nomadic life that included travels to Borneo, Kashmir, and Australia. She trained as a biologist and worked as an adventure guide in the north. She is a mixed media artist whose work examines ecosystems and the human connection to place and the natural world. She has exhibited her work in Europe, Russia, the USA, and Mexico. The image of her painting “Swans” was made into a carpet for the Canadian Embassy in London, England.
