Joe and Johanna Micka came to Canada from the Netherlands in 1957. Joe founded Mic Mac Motors in Whitehorse in the late 1960s.((//Yukon News// (Whitehorse), 27 November 2015.)) John MacKinnon was a founding partner and Mic Mac was a combination of their names.
