Joe Mason Joe Mason was inducted to the Hall of Fame in 1990 for his accomplishments as an athlete and coach in boxing. Mason began his successful boxing career under coach Art Fry in 1970. He won medals at the 1975 and 1976 Northwestern Canadian Boxing Championships (silver and gold), 1977 Canadian National Boxing Championships (bronze), 1980 Fraser Valley Native Championships (champion), 1980 and 1981 Palmer Boxing Tournament (champion), 1981 Mission B.C. (champion), and the 1981 and 1982 British Columbia Golden Gloves (sr. winner, sr. runner-up). Joe coached at the Dawson Boxing Club from 1980 to 1984.
