Peter Morrison (1873 -1917) Peter Morrison was born in West Side, Nova Scotia. He was a miner near Dawson when he enlisted for service in the First World War.((D. ((//Dawson Daily News// (Dawson), 17 August 1917.)) In England he was posted to the 17th Canadian machine Gun Company and transferred to the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in France. Private Morrison was killed during the Battle of Passchendaele. He was awarded the British War Medal and the Allied Victory Medal. His name is listed on the Menin Gate Memorial to the Missing in Ypres, Belgium.((D.
