Sidney W. May (1907 - 1974) Sidney May joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in November 1928.((//Moccasin Telegraph,// web newsletter edition 261, 3 August 2008.)) He was a member of the RCMP patrol that captured “Mad Trapper” Johnson in 1932.(("Employees of the Yukon Consolidated Gold Corporation." Dawson City Museum and Historical Society files, 992.8.115)) He wrote a patrol report as a member of the pursuing posse called "Old Crow YT to Le Pierre House YT and return March 11, 1932."((//Moccasin Telegraph,// web newsletter edition 261, 3 August 2008.)) May was dismissed from the police in June 1933 for marrying without permission.((//Moccasin Telegraph,// web newsletter edition 261, 3 August 2008.))
