W.D. Mackenzie left Mayo on 21 February 1928 to take charge of the Greenfield & Pickering roadhouse at the Summit.((//Whitehorse Star// (Whitehorse), 24 February 1928.)) The Summit Roadhouse was located between Pelly Crossing and the Junction Roadhouse at the Mayo Road junction.
