Henry Alfred Naylor (1873 – 1956) Harry Naylor was the son of Archdeacon W.H. Naylor of Clarendon, Quebec, and brother to Archdeacon R. Kenneth Naylor. He graduated from McGill University and took theological training at the Montreal Diocesan Theological College.((“H.A. Naylor fonds.” The Anglican Church of Canada, 2020 website: https://www.anglican.ca/archives/holdings/fonds/h-a-naylor-fonds/)) Reverend and Mrs. Ada Naylor arrived in the Yukon River drainage from eastern Canada in 1896, sent by the Anglican Church Missionary Society.((Yukon Archives, Victoria Faulkner, 83/50 MSS 137 f.17.)) Naylor was posted to Forty Mile in 1896 just before the Klondike gold rush. He was ordained deacon in 1896 and priest in 1897. He worked with the miners at Forty Mile for three years before he was sent to Dawson to become the rector in town in 1899.((“H.A. Naylor spearheaded the fundraising effort to build St. Paul's Anglican Church, completed in in 1902. Naylor’s grandson, Hugh, has a collection of letters that Reverend Naylor wrote back to his family during this time. Naylor left the Yukon in 1901 to become the Incumbent of Chelsea in the Montreal diocese until 1905; Incumbent of Arundel, 1905-1910; Rector of Frehlighsburg, 1910-1915; Rector of St. Lambert, 1915-1926. Rural Dean, 1915-1927; Curate of St. Cyprus, Montreal, 1927-1933; and Incumbent of Valleyfield from 1933 to 1945 when he retired.((“H.A.
