J. Barry O’Neill (d. 1999) Barry O’Neill came to the Yukon with his father in 1935. He served for four and a half years during the Second World War as crew on a corvette with the Royal Canadian Navy and was honourably discharged at the end of the war. O’Neill received his first miner’s permit in Ontario in 1935 and his first love was prospecting. He worked in the Keno Hill area.
