Francois Pregent (1873-1917)
	
Francois Pregent was born in Chateauguay, Quebec and became a miner in the Dawson area.((Attestation Paper, Library and Archives Canada)) He was recruited by Captain George Black during the First World War and was in England in August 1917.((//Dawson Daily News// (Dawson), 17 August 1917.)) Ltd. 1917: 107.)) Private Pregent was awarded the British War Medal and Allied Victory Medal.((D.
