James Ashton Pool (b. 1880) James Pool enlisted for service in the First World War in July 1916. He named his occupation as a piano tuner in Dawson.((WWI Reg. #1015610. July 1, 1916 in Sidney. While he was away, his placer mining claims on Tromblay Gulch, Dip, and Victor creeks, and his mineral claim (Mable) were all held free from cancellation.((Yukon Archives, GOV 1654,f.29600-B 3(7) and GOV 1654, f.29600-B 4(7).))
