Ranj Pillai (b. 1974)
	
Ranj Pillai was born in Nova Scotia to parents Johnena Lee and Gopi Pillai. Ranj grew up in Brook Village and Inverness and moved to Antigonish to finish high school. Pillai sat as an elected Whitehorse City councillor from 2009 to 2012. In 2016, Pillai was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Yukon, representing the electoral district of Porter Creek South and was sworn into the Cabinet of Premier Sandy Silver in December.
