Bill Roxborough Bill Roxborough had a grade eight education, but he took correspondence courses through a diesel engineering course in Los Angeles and became a proficient diesel mechanic around 1939. He learned to fly and flew the Whitehorse to Dawson run with Yukon Southern. When Canadian Pacific Airlines (CPA) took over the company, Roxborough flew for them and pioneered some of their first world-wide flights. He eventually became their chief pilot and in his last years with the company was as vice-president in charge of operations. These facts were told to Jim Robb by Lyman Sands of Atlin.((Jim Robb, “The Colourful Five Percent.” //The Whitehorse Star,// (Whitehorse), 2 February 1996.))
