James D. Ryan (b. 1889) James Ryan was born in Ireland. He was a policeman in South America before he came to the Yukon.((WWI Reg. #2004605. September 20, 1916 in Dawson. Attestation Paper, Library and Archives Canada.)) Ryan was the owner of creek claim No. 10 Below at the mouth of All Gold on Flat Creek. He transferred claims No. 7 and No. 8 Below to Hamilton Daglish and sold him claim No. 10 on Flat Creek in June 1916.((Yukon Archives, GOV 1654, f.29600-B 4(7) )) In September 1916, he was a fireman in Dawson when he enlisted for service in the First World War.((WWI Reg. #2004605.
