A. W. H. “Andy” Smith A.W.H. In 1910, Smith was the secretary-treasurer and promoter of Dr. W.E. Thompson’s Dublin Hydraulics Company.((Michael Gates, “History Hunter: Mining on Dublin Gulch has a long history.” //Yukon News// (Whitehorse), 14 February 2019.)) A full-page ad appeared in the //Dawson Daily News// Christmas edition. Preferred shares could be purchased for $2.50 each by contacting Smith at the office of mining broker and fiscal agent T. A. Smith enlisted in the First World War in 1914. He was in the Canadian Railroad Troops No. 10, part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force, and he fought overseas.
