Clark “Harry” Van Steinburg (1941 - 2017) Clark Van Steinburg was born in Trail, British Columbia and went to school in Dawson and then Edmonton. He was a talented inventor and repairer of heavy equipment and worked in Cassiar, Edmonton, and then at the Whitehorse Copper Mine. He was maintenance superintendent at Whitehorse Copper until it shut down, and he designed an underground service vehicle named the Clarkmobile. He built a stone house outside of Whitehorse with no running water and wood heat. He designed vehicles and worked on those of his friends. He loved gardening and cooking. Clark had a warped, sarcastic sense of humour that lives on in his children. He was a staunch conservative and monarchist.((//Yukon News// (Whitehorse), 26 May 2017.))
