Darryl G. Steiniger (1951 – 1988) Professor Darrel Steiniger, “The Piano Player,” made his debut at the Palace Grand in the early 1970s. He returned to become a star at Diamond Tooth Gertie’s gambling casino and played in Dawson every season from 1975 to 1988. Upon his death from encephalitis, a plaque was received by Archdeacon Ken Snider in Victoria.
