Doris McMurphy Stenbraten (1910 - 1999) Doris McMurphy was born in Winnipeg and came to the Yukon in 1950 to teach English and Latin. She was sharp-witted and dedicated and left a lasting impression on her students. Doris and John Stenbraten married in 1961 and lived in a log cabin on Atlin Lake.
