Evelyn Skookum
	
Northern Tutchone Elder Evelyn Skookum was honoured at the Yukon College Graduation Ceremony with the first Ruth Welsh Memorial Award, presented for outstanding service to Yukon Native languages and cultures. Evelyn taught her language and songs in Carmacks and at the Yukon Native Languages Centre (YNLC) for many years and received her YNLC certificate in 2003. She mentored her granddaughter, Jocelyn Skookum, who completed a YNLC certificate in 2011.
