Erich Stoll Erik Stoll was born in Germany and came to Canada in 1957. He worked in a mine in Ontario before coming to the Yukon. In 1963, he and other miners worked for four days to recover the body of a man named Loughran who was buried in the Calumet square set stope. In 1978, Erik was part of the Whitehorse Copper Mine rescue team when they won the National Championship.
