Henry Lovell “Harry” Simons (1878 – 1915) Harry Simons was born in London and immigrated to Canada in 1901. He served three years with the Royal Canadian Dragoons before joining the North-West Mounted Police in 1903. He served in Dawson before he was discharged in 1909.((D. He was a teamster when he enlisted for service in the First World War in November 1914.((WWI Reg. #75473. November 11, 1914 in Vancouver. Attestation Paper, Library and Archives Canada)) Private Simons was killed in action in November 1915. He was awarded the 1914-1915 Star, the British War Medal, and the Allied Victory Medal.
