John Leonard Sansom (1885 - 1946)
	
John Leonard Sansom was born in Salisbury, England. He came to the Yukon and started work with White Pass & Yukon Route in 1918. He was a purser on the steamer //Selkirk// for two years before he was appointed as the agent at Whitehorse. Sansom held that position until 1942 when, suffering ill health, he retired to the coast.((//The Whitehorse Star// (Whitehorse), 5 April 1946.))
