Manojlo “Mike Sed” Sredanovich (b. 1878) Manojlo Sredanovich was from Herzegovina. He was mining near Dawson when he enlisted in July 1916 for service in the First World War.((WWI Reg. #1015628. Attestation Paper, Library and Archives Canada)) His claims on the left fork of Clear Creek were held safe from cancellation while he was away fighting.((Yukon Archives, GOV 1654, f.29600-B 4(7) )) He returned to the Yukon in June 1919. In the fall of the that year, the Department of Soldiers’ Civil Re-Enlistment arranged for Sredanovich and six other returned soldiers to have reduced transportation costs from the Yukon to British Columbia.((Yukon Archives, GOV 1654, f.29600-G))
