Wendell Richard Leslie Toews (1942 – 2004)
	
Wendell Toews was born in Chilliwack to Jake and Emma Toews. After Wendell moved to Dawson, he assumed the role of husband and father to Katie Taylor and her six sons. He worked on the gold dredges and then was employed by the City of Dawson as foreman of public works. He retired early due to poor health and died in Whitehorse of a massive heart attack.
